About What Are Mutual Funds

Hello. I’m Connor Swinney, the creator of What Are Mutual Funds. I’m from Hattiesburg, MS, where I lived all my life until moving to New York after college. I spend my time during the day as a financial advisor. I went to school at Mississippi State University, where I graduated with a degree in finance. When not working on What Are Mutual Funds, I can often be found examining the stock market.

I built What Are Mutual Funds to be a resource for all things concerning mutual funds. Many people aren’t even aware of all of the potential investing in mutual funds has. That’s why I created this site. I want to make sure that people know the success they could find from making an investment in mutual funds. In the articles on this site I explain real concepts, and answer frequently asked questions.
